What do you think shapes an individual’s personality. Can it be changed?

Yes, can be changed..but i believe the nature, and nurture given to someone is pertinent and sets the stage of their life (under age 5). As for anyone else, beyond 5/6 years, individual will and response are counted in along with nature/nurture. Hope is alive and well. The only time hope is futile is when the person is no longer alive. Interesting question, i can wait to see some more responses!

I believe some of it is innate and the rest of it is shaped by the way they were brought up (what kinds of values their parents instilled in them) and their life experiences (especially those from childhood). So, of course someone can change. That could either be from a life experience or from doing some self-reflecting and deciding that they need to change certain aspects of their personality.
